Our Mission
Our mission at Montana Youth Outdoor Experience is to instill a love for conservation & the great outdoors in the children and teens of Montana. Founded in the Bitterroot Valley and inspired by a love for teaching the next generation of conservationists, protectors, stewards of the land, and outdoor enthusiasts, Montana Matters strives to educate our future generations about conservation, outdoor ethics, values, and future stewardship of wilderness, public lands, and all other wild areas! Our goal is to share the multitude of outdoor opportunities with the youth of Montana while teaching kids to love, respect, and appreciate the amazing natural resources in our beautiful state. Our campers learn a wide variety of skills including but not limited to forest ecology, wildlife identification, ethical hunting, outdoor ethics and stewardship, first aid, archery, primitive weapon skills, trap shooting, and gain a deeper understanding and passion for our remarkable outdoors here in Montana. Through continued youth outdoor education, we hope to foster the next generation of leaders and stewards of this priceless gift through outdoor experiences at our educational Montana summer camps.
